Promotional T-shirts are a popular way to promote an event while rewarding participants with hard-earned schwag. However, more often than not, they are condemned to be worn only at the gym, or perhaps when mowing the lawn.
The problem rests with the typical design in which an event logo must co-exist with a constellation of sponsor logos, and a logorrheic profusion of text. The result is usually an ugly and discordant mess. Pheh!
When creating t-shirts I have a simple philosophy: create a design that I would enjoy wearing. Then to make that happen, I aim to anchor the design around a single eye-catching element. I also like to leave some sense of mystery because that inspires questions to conversations. And as much as possible, I try to minimize text.
